Why I am glad I did not make it to the NBA

Ever since I was 12 years old I knew I wanted to play professional basketball in the NBA. Today I'm 45 years old and I'm happy that my destiny lay along a higher path.

Because I did not realize my dream I ended up creating a way for millions of players all over the world to realize theirs!

My love for basketball started when I walked outside one cold morning in Oklahoma and saw my mom teaching my older brother the game on a dirt court in our front yard. She had cut the bottom out of a bucket and nailed it to a tree. It didn't take long after joining them for me to fall in love with the game. I still remember the sound of that ball going through that bucket!

I knew I wanted to go to the NBA, but I had no idea how to get there. I took one last shot at it in college but after I got married and had my first child I had to give it up. THAT has turned out to be the biggest blessing because, in 2017, it led to a REALLY big idea!

What if there was a basketball league so large it would be like combining all the basketball leagues in the world into one super league - a World Basketball Axis!

The mission of this super league, this basketball axis would be to find the best 1v1 player in every city, then in every country. Then it would have one huge 1v1 tournament, like the Olympics, to find out who is the best player on earth!

Crazy idea right!? Well. . . I did it!

It's called Rimpage! And that huge 1v1 tournament featuring the national champion from each country is called the Lion's Tournament, and is scheduled for Sep 2026!

My goal now is to let every Basketball player in the world, male or female, age 15 and up, know they can join Rimpage right now and start qualifying for their city's championship tournament!

Do you believe I will succeed in starting Rimpage in every country in time to enter all of their national champions into the Lion's Tournament by Sep. 2026?
