PLAYING RIMPAGE 1V1 MATCHES
What to do before during and after your match
Playing Rimpage Matches
Before the match
You control your game schedule
Rimpage athletes, you have complete control over your game schedule. You decide who, when, and where you play. You may compete against any athlete, male or female age 15 and up whether they are Rimpage athletes or not.
Choose your opponent wisely
Each time you win a match you take ratings points away from your opponent. You gain the most points by defeating players whose ratings are higher than yours. Watch out for upsets! You lose the most points when you are defeated by an opponent you should have beaten, (players whose ratings are lower than yours). Try to challenge tougher competition to get the most rewards. All non-Rimpage athletes have a default rating of 1000.
Make it official! Notify Rimpage BEFORE you start your match!
Rimpage must be notified BEFORE you start your match. To do this, simply submit the form telling Rimpage, who, when, and where you will play. That form is here: https://rimpage.wixsite.com/rimpageclub/dallas
Note that once you submit the form you have officially scheduled the match and all forfeit rules apply to you and your opponent. Submit a new form for each individual match. If you play the game person 3 times back to back, submit the form for each of the three matches to ensure the records are there and you get credit for every match played.
Change / Cancel a scheduled match
Whether you intend to play right away or on some future date, you must schedule the match BEFORE you play in order for it to count for stats and rankings. If you need to change or cancel a match that has been scheduled
1. Let your opponent know, and
2. Let Rimpage know
Do this at least 1 hr before the scheduled start time. If you wait any longer than that, your opponent has the option to force a forfeit.
Film a pre-match interview
You may also do an interview and talk about your match. Simply find the interview questions here: https://rimpage.wixsite.com/rimpageclub/interviews then video-record yourself answering the questions and send it to Rimpage. Be sure to identify the match you are talking about in your video to avoid any confusion.
During the match
Video Record Every match!
ALL MATCHES MUST BE VIDEO RECORDED. Follow these guidelines and the checklist below to ensure your match counts for stats, rankings and ratings.
Video must capture the beginning and the result of every shot.
Only 1 match per video. Video must show 1 entire match. Start a new video for any subsequent matches.
Video must be stable and of sufficient quality so as not to diminish the viewer experience.
Use a tripod! Elevate the camera. If you place it on the floor, the viewer cannot see the court markings to tell if a shot was from behind the two pt line or in a shot box, etc.
Match format
Rimpage matches are played to 12 by 1s and 2s (3s and 4s if the court has shot boxes marked) or to 25 rounds. A round is two possessions, one for each player. Every time both players have had a possession, that counts as 1 round. If neither player has reached 12 points by the end of 25 rounds, then the player with the highest score is the winner. If the match reaches 25 rounds and the score is tied, then the player who reached his highest score first is the winner.
Possession changes after each made basket, turnover, defensive rebound, two shot attempts, or offensive foul. Players call their own fouls.
Scoring with Shot Boxes
Rimpage matches are played to 12 by 1s and 2s unless you score from one of the shot boxes There are 4 shot boxes. The two on the wings are worth 3pts. The one in the center of the court at the halfcourt line is worth 4pts. Also if you score at the basket and you touch either the backboard or the rim, that basket is worth 2pts. Shot box dimensions are 52 inches x 52 inches. The 3pt shot box
As long as you are inside or touching the shot box you get the extra points. Even if you are outside of the shot box and your toe is touching the line you still get the points as if you were inside the box.

Call fouls IMMEDIATELY
Call your own fouls within 3 seconds of the foul occurring or else you lose your opportunity. If you don’t call it, in the eyes of Rimpage, it didn’t happen.
1 Free intentional foul
You get one free strategic intentional foul. After that each intentional foul results in a freethrow and possession of the ball, and a made basket counts.
Only you can call your fouls
You cannot call foul for your opponent. Even if you foul intentionally, if your opponent doesn’t call it, it never happened. Take the result of the play.
Respect calls
Respect each other’s call. Play with honor. Let your skill determine the outcome of the match.
When to force a forfeit
If your opponent refuses to follow a rule, you may end the match and appeal to Rimpage to force a forfeit. Must support your appeal with video evidence.
Get video evidence
Strive to reach an agreement and settle all disputes 1. On camera and 2. DURING the match. If after 3 minutes, the matter cannot be resolved, end the match and appeal to Rimpage to force a forfeit.
Both players must agree or the match cannot commence.
What if I cannot finish my match?
If there is any reason you cannot finish your match you may
1. Cancel the match
2. Reschedule
3. Forfeit
Your opponent must agree to cancel or reschedule. He / she may decide not to allow it, but to force a forfeit instead. Players are encouraged to consider what is the most honorable decision.

Your Rimpage Rating and Ratings Classes
There are 8 ratings classes. All players begin in the first class with a rating of 1000.
Each time you win a match you take ratings points away from your opponent. The higher your opponent's rating, the more points you take (you get more points for revealing tougher opponents).
Once you achieve a rating of 1400 you graduate to the next class. Once you reach a rating of 1800 you graduate to the next class and so on.
Sani Veit is the highest class. You must have a rating of 4000 to graduate into Sani Veit.
Rankings
All Rimpage athletes will have a city, regional, national, and international ranking. Rimpage idea a special formula called the 1Champion Formula to determine each players ranking. Only Rimpage knows this formula and with it we can predict the best player in any size group! The result of the formula is called the Supremacy Score and it is this Supremacy Score that determines each player’s rank.
